Curriculum
The Nursery curriculum is delivered through a balance of child initiated and adult led activities. The EYFS curriculum has 7 areas of learning:
Communication and language
Physical development
Personal, social and emotional development
Literacy
Mathematics
Understanding the world
Expressive arts and design
We plan activities to engage children and develop their learning through children’s interests, development and learning needs.
Learning Environment
Children learn through planned play activities and staff will ensure there is an appropriate balance between child-initiated and adult-led play.
We also have an outside learning space which children have access to each day. The outside area is an extension of the classrooms and there are a variety of resources to facilitate learning. In this area EYFS staff provide planned activities for children as well as giving opportunities for them to make their own choices.
