Welcome to Springfield Primary School.

On behalf of the staff, pupils, parents and governors, I would like to welcome you to our website. We hope that what you see and read will give you an insight into what makes Springfield Primary a happy school and one that is always looking to improve and move forward. At Springfield, we aim to provide our children with a safe, secure and stimulating environment which meets the individual needs of all children on an equal opportunities basis, regardless of gender, ability, disability, religious or cultural belief, or racial background. The development of mutual respect and quality relationships is at the heart of all we do.

Every day, they are supported in developing skills and attitudes which will help them to develop in confidence and independence inside and outside the classroom. When children leave us, we want them to have a love of learning which will stay with them throughout their life. Enjoyment, challenge and activity are at the heart of successful learning and we endeavour to achieve this through a broad and balanced curriculum which allows every child to achieve their potential. We celebrate success to develop high self-esteem and the motivation to further succeed.

We want our children to be the very best they can be! To this end we place great emphasis on the importance of strong parent and community links and recognise parents as vital partners in their child’s education.
