On Tuesday 24th January, Year 4 had a very special visit from Blue Watch firefighters who work at Oldbury Fire Station. They came in their fire engine to talk to us about what to do if there is ever a fire and how to raise the alarm and get help. It was an amazing workshop where the children learnt lots of valuable skills such as STOP, DROP AND ROLL and how to evacuate a burning building safely. The children learnt to spot hazards in the kitchen, and the importance of checking your smoke alarm weekly. Did you know that Oldbury Fire Station can come to your house and fit a smoke alarm if you are in need of one? All you need to do is give them a call. 0121 380 7541
