UPDATED Home learning

Learning from home- School Closure

Hello everyone and welcome to the Summer Term!

We are so proud of you all for working so hard with your home learning! We are amazed with the amount of commitment and enthusiasm you have shown and how you have adapted to a new way of learning. Also, a big shout out to your grown-ups who are working equally as hard with you at home- we know it can be hard at times but you are doing a fantastic job!

We will be uploading a new English and Maths activity everyday with a new project being uploaded each week. You can find these activities by clicking on the 'English Activities', 'Maths Activities' and 'Topic Activities' links below. We are continuing with our 'Africa' topic this term with lots of fun projects for you to do! We will also be updating Purple Mash with new activities (2dos) for you to complete. We will constantly be checking Purple Mash, TTRockstars and NumBots so keep going on those too!

Please keep an eye on this class page as we will be adding any links to interesting, practical activities you can do together.

If you have any questions or need to speak with your teachers whilst you're working from home, you can use the blog or 2Email on Purple Mash- we will be checking them regularly.

If you have any problems logging in then please contact the office or your teacher through 2Email on Purple Mash.

Hopefully we will be back together soon but in the meantime best behaviour and remember the good hygiene routines that we've been using at school.

Stay safe and stay in touch!

We will give the children their homework on a Friday and this is to be completed and back in school the following Thursday. The homework will include a maths activity, a reading comprehension task and a list of spellings. The children will complete a spelling test every Thursday. We also expect the children to be reading their school reading book every day and to get it changed regularly. We encourage the children to enjoy reading and for them to have a real understanding of the book. So we ask that they bring their reading book into school every day so we can share their love of reading and boost it even further.

With the launch of Times Tables Rockstars the children will be sent home with their own unique log in to allow them to play at home and practice their times tables too. The video below explains the log-in process!
