UPDATED Home learning

Learning from home- School Closure

Hello everyone! We hope you're all keeping well.

We just wanted to let you know that your teachers and teaching assistants have been working hard to set some tasks for you to complete at home over the coming weeks. You can find these Maths, English and Topic activities on: Purple Mash, TT Rockstars and by clicking on the links below to access new daily Maths and English work. We will aim to upload these new daily activities on our blog and below to continue your child's learning journey at home.

Please keep an eye on this class page too as we will be adding any links to interesting, practical activities you can do together.

If you have any questions or need to speak with your teachers whilst you're working from home, you can use the blog - we will be checking regularly. To do this you will need to log in using your username and password that can be found in your yellow books that were given out on Wednesday and Thursday.

Hopefully we will be back together soon but in the meantime best behaviour and remember the good hygiene routines that we've been using at school.

Stay safe and stay in touch!

Miss Gough, Mr Taylor and the rest of the Year 2 team! smiley

We will give the children their homework on a Friday and this is to be completed and back in school the following Thursday. The homework will include a maths activity, a reading comprehension task and a list of spellings. The children will complete a spelling test every Thursday. We also expect the children to be reading their school reading book every day and to get it changed regularly. We encourage the children to enjoy reading and for them to have a real understanding of the book. So we ask that they bring their reading book into school every day so we can share their love of reading and boost it even further.

With the launch of Times Tables Rockstars the children will be sent home with their own unique log in to allow them to play at home and practice their times tables too. The video below explains the log-in process!
