This week 1A have been busy learning about measure. We have used non-standard units (cubes, lollipop sticks, paper clips) to measure our heights, our feet and our handspans. We are going to put some of our work on our hall display, so be sure to look out for it on parents evening!
In English we have been predicting what might happen next in a story and we wrote a reply letter from The Three Bears. We will be looking at an alternative version of The Three Bears story next week (link included on this week's homework).
In topic work, we have been learning about how to stay safe on the internet and we have had lots of fun learning how to play the glockenspiels too. On Hello Yellow day we talked about what kind of things make us happy and how we can help each other. We also tried some relaxing yoga to help calm our minds.
As we are all getting a little tired towards half term, it would be well worth snuggling up with a bedtime story a little earlier than usual and take time to reflect on what we have learnt (especially in phonics!).
Have a great weekend...
