Springfield Primary School

Be the best you can be.

4B

As a school, we are on a journey to become a UNICEF Rights Respecting School. We will be focusing on the articles set out by UNICEF and incoperating them into our school values.

Our class charters, help us make the right decisions to ensure our classroom and school is a great place to be. As a class, we decided that aiming high was important, so we created our our aiming high balloons.

We then spoke about the articles and decided which were most important to us in creating a safe, happy and enjoyable place to learn. The articles we decided on are shown below and we have added what we will do to achieve them.

We signed our charter by adding ourselves to the balloons which means we will try our hardest to aim high at all times.

Article 28: We all have the right to learn.

  • We will respect and support each other’s opinion and individuality.
  • We will speak confidently so our ideas are shared.
  • Our adults will listen, support and let us share our ideas.

Article 28: We all have the right to learn.

  • We will work as a team.
  • We will help and support our friends if they are stuck.
  • We will be resilient learners so we can ‘be the best that we can be’.
  • Our adults will try to plan lessons which are fun, exciting and challenge all children regardless of their ability.

Article 31: We all have the right to rest and play.

  • We will play with everyone, respect everyone’s choice of activity and not leave anybody out.
  • We will keep our hands and feet to ourselves and only use kind words.
  • We will be friendly and make sure everyone is happy.
