WM Fire Service: Fire Safety Workshop
On Wednesday 7th February, the White Watch firefighters from Oldbury Fire Station visited the children in Year 4 for a Fire Safety workshop.
After turning up in their gleaming read fire engine, the team helped to educate the children on fire safety at home, including what to do if you discover a fire. Although they had to leave to answer an emergency call, White Watch returned to Springfield ten minutes later. Then the fun really started when the children explored the various tools and equipment available to members of the West Midlands Fire Service when out on the road in one of their fire engines.
As you can see from the photos, the children had a fantastic afternoon and learnt an enormous amount about fire safety. Miss Rollinson even dressed up in fire fighter clothing and equipment!
