Springfield, has started the journey to become a Rights Respecting School, which means that we support and value the United Nations Rights of The Child. These rights are set out as 45 articles which can be found in the attachment below. As we move through Bronze, Silver and Gold accreditation, the rights of the child will become a key part of our school ethos and behaviours and create a safe and inspiring place to learn, where children are respected, their talents are nurtured and they are able to thrive. The Rights Respecting Schools Award embeds these values in daily school life and gives children the best chance to lead happy, healthy lives and to be responsible, active citizens. We are looking forward to this journey and welcome your support in future developments.
Over the next few months, Rights Respecting will become more visible in and around our school as our children are introduced to it.
Our Rights Respecting ambassadors, from each of the KS2 classes, will soon be in place and they will play a huge part in making our journey successful so watch this space for more information and exciting news.
