Bastille Day French-Themed Day: Wednesday 14th July
Bonjour tout le monde! In case you didn't know, that means 'Hello everyone' in French. We had a wonderful time in Year Five learning all about the origins and cultural significance of Bastille Day. Every 14th July, there's a national day of celebration for the important role the storming of the Bastille de Sainte Antoine played in leading the people of France to overthrow King Louis XVIth, resulting in France becoming a republic.
Below are a selection of photos taken during our French Cafe in the afternoon, where the children had the opportunity to enjoy bread (baguette/pain), pancakes (crepe), croissants and cheese (brie).
Au revoir, et merci.
YEAR FOURS: WELCOME TO YEAR FIVE
As we reach the end of one year and move onto the next, we want to say a big warm welcome to the Year Four children who will be joining us in Year Five from September.
We've created a transition video for you to watch. You can access it by clicking on the image below:
We've also produced some really useful information for you to read with your parents, which can be found by clicking HERE.
We can't wait to meet you all properly in September and we hope you enjoy your final few days in Year Four. Oh, yeah...and have a great Summer!
Mr Billingham and Miss Chirrimar.
On Friday 2nd July we held the Key Stage Two Sports Day. Although, due to Covid restrictions we were unable to invite our parents, the children had a fantastic time. To get a flavour of the day, please visit THIS WEBPAGE to view a selection of photos from the day.

I know this is not how we planned to start our new academic year but as always we are prepared and ready for remote learning. You're all experts at this now and we all know how important it is to stay home, stay safe and help keep others safe. Fingers crossed that if we all follow the rules and the vaccine goes to plan, we can get back to normal in no time.
Below you will find links to all of our pages, we hope you like it!
If you're unable to attend school, then check out our Remote Learning pages, where you can find activities and lessons to help you to continue to learn from home.
