Each Friday, year 4 will go swimming. The last lesson will be on the 8th April 2022 .
Children will need to bring a towel and swimming outfit which, as instructed by the centre, should NOT be worn underneath school clothes for hygiene reasons.
Girls - Full body costumes - no bikinis.
Boys - No shorts below the knee.
Children may wear a swim top if they feel more comfortable.
Homework will be set on a Monday and should aim to be completed by the Friday of the same week.
Children are expected to read at home at least 3 times per week. Children should also learn the set spellings each week.
For maths, children will need to log in to their TTrockstars account AND use the Mathsframe multiplication check each week. This will support them to achieve full marks on the Government's end-of-year multiplication check.
For English, children will need to log into their online account for writing legends. Here they will select a piece of writing designated by staff in school - This will often be related to the text type being studied at that time. To support your child, please direct them to the "writing example" and the audio track attached to each writing piece.
PE Kit & Uniform
At Springfield, we pride ourself in our appearance, which is why we take uniform seriously. It's essential that your child has their PE kit in school every week - both for indoor and outdoor lessons. Year 4's PE lesson is scheduled for Mondays.
We ask that there are no logos other than the school's, suitable footwear and dark colours ie. blue, black, grey or white.
