Handwriting
We have just introduced a new handwritng scheme in school - Kinetic Letters
In EYFS the scheme begins with developing the children's core strength for handwriting and develops the 3 friends pencil hold.
It then introduces the children to these 2 cheeky characters Brave Monkey and Scared Monkey. These help the children learn where to start their letters. At the top of the tree or half way down.
The letters are split into families so that this helps the children to form the 26 letters correctly.
The joining of these letters is then developed throughout KS2
